Happy to mention it on another forum but I was seeking help here first to understand whether anyone else was experiencing the same problem and also if they knew whether it was a deliberate change to page layout or a bug. |

I have proof.. on 7 May, it looked like this.
So the problem is with the medium pics.
If this is a new change.. please let me know where to discuss it. Features or Beta? |

what i do mind is when changes are made that just don't make sense and don't add anything to the stumble experience.
i'm still assuming (praying) that this is a temporary bug.
if it's not.. then expect some more noise.
either way, if you're going to make a change to the look of *our* pages, then we need to know so that we can change the way we use it. |

| | elledark | May 8, 2:58pm | | I've never known anything *but* the beta version of SU, since I apparently joined after the option of the classic look was removed (july 2007?) and I don't have an option to switch to it so my comments about this sudden change to the 'superminipic' sized avatars that happened the other day are in that context. Like Ani, I'm hoping its a temporary bug, perhaps the wrong pictures being served. There was some difficulty recently when they distributed avatar pics between different servers which lead to considerable time lags when we changed avatars. Maybe its more unintended consequences from the same source ? If its *not* a bug then, personally, I think its a bad move which detracts from the individuality of pages. In fact the 'new' sized avatars are so small its hardly worth bothering with them at all. Fingers crossed that its just a temporary bug .:)) |
