CajunCarla: For the last couple of weeks when I hit the stumble button I t get an error page that says "Too many stumbles" is this a known problem?I know many SU people have more stumbles than I, so this doesn't make sense.
Why would they hard code a limit to our stumbles????? Is there any solution?

The two problems are unrelated.
CajunCarla has hit a system limit of maximum_stumbles. I imagine, when the system was designed, that the devs set a limit that they imagined only webbots might manage ;o)
The limit is hard-coded and cannot, to the best of my knowledge, be lifted.
I was also told that the limit of thumbs up's I could have is 20.000 which I have not reached, And was reccomended that I delete some of them. I deleted quite a few and it rectified the problem. But was very time consuming, and took the best part of the day. For this reason I will now downloand the majority of my images into my photobucket account and post from there, saving my thumbs-ups for my fellow stumblers |

CajunCarla: The data available to me indicates that your situation is not the same as reported by (others) - that is, you have not reached the "too many stumbles" limit, and thus the advice you have been given is incorrect.
In order to assist you further with this problem, more information about the error message, and the circumstances that it appears would be useful. If you are able to do so, it might be helpful to see screen grab of the error message next time you encounter it.
Additional: having reviewed your pages, it occurs to me that you might be describing an apparent limit on the number of *pages* you can create. Due to system constraints, and to reduce load on our service from external search mechanisms, the number of pages that a visitor can view via the standard navigation system is limited. You can, however, extend that navigation (should you choose), by putting an 'archive index' on your pages.
Stumblers who create a high number of pages commonly do just this, and I believe that there is even an unofficial add-on that will assist you in producing and coding an 'archive index'. If this sounds like the solution for you, just post to that effect here, and I have no doubt that one of our helpful members will contact you directly with further instructions. |

501 pages is the visual limit of the navigation bar (i.e. "http://nickname.stumbleupon.com/archive/5000/") |

I'm still confused. Is there or is there not an absolute limit to the number of stumbles an account can encounter (and hence a limit to the active life of a Stumbler)? |
