| | maxfeller | May 28, 2006 2:10am | | On my system (XP, Firefox 1.5.0.3) SU extension causes permanent cpu usage (~50%) even when firefox is idle. Can you countersign this? |
|
| | | kko1 | May 28, 2006 2:52am | Have you tried clearing your cache ?
Maybe some of your extensions are incompatable with eachother, i remember this guy fyredragon, he had 50+ extensions, and is system grinded to a halt until he removed a third of them. |

| | | maxfeller | May 28, 2006 9:58am | | If I deinstall V2.77 the cpu drops to zero (for idle firefox). If I install V2.75 everything is ok. It is clear V2.77 causes the problems. It seems that V2.77 is working on something any time. |

| Sponsor | Jemmie | May 28, 2006 2:45pm | Since installing V2.77 this morning, my Firefox keeps grinding to a halt until I completely reboot - jamming my CPU usage at 100%. I just came looking to see if this was happening to anyone else, and lo and behold..
I also know of a friend who has just upgraded and is now having the same issue. |

| Staff | geoff | May 28, 2006 2:50pm | | Try disabling/uninstalling all your other extensions to see if it is a conflict. Also, try installing stumbleupon into a new firefox profile and see if that fixes the problem. |

| Eviola | May 28, 2006 2:51pm | Jem: That would probably be me :P
My CPU usage starts out fine, but it gradually creeps up and then jams itself at 100%. I've only had Firefox open for about a minute right now and already the CPU's up to 50% usage and I haven't even done anything apart from come here. |

| Staff | geoff | May 28, 2006 3:00pm | So installing into a fresh firefox profile made no difference?
For those with this issue:
1. try a new profile, confirm the problem still exists there
2. post the following info to this thread:
- firefox version
- operating system version |
